PRIVACY POLICY

The UTMCargo Privacy Policy explains how information about you is collected, processed and disclosed by UTMCargo when you visit and use our website, social networks, etc.; otherwise known as UTMCargo platforms that link to this Privacy Policy.

When you use our Services, you provide information to us. UTMCargo collects two types of information: (1) information that you provide to us that lets us know who you are (“Personally Identifiable Information”) and (2) information that does not by itself identify a specific individual (“Non-personally Identifiable Information”).

  1. 1. The Data We Collect About You

You may browse through UTMCargo platforms without revealing any personal information. However, when you transact with us (purchase or offer to sell a device) or register to open an account on UTMCargo website, it is necessary you provide personal information, such as your name, email address, and zip code, which we collect and use as disclosed in this Privacy Policy. Once you submit information about yourself to us, you are not anonymous to us.

We collect, use, store and transfer the following different kinds of personal information, for marketing and personal data optimization purposes:

  • Information you provide to us: We receive and store the information you provide to us including your personal information, contact information/ delivery address and payment details.
  • Information on your use of our online stores: We automatically collect and store certain types of information regarding your searches, views, downloads and purchases on UTMCargo AND
  • Information from third parties and publicly available sources: We may receive information about you from third parties’ platforms such as when you complete a survey from us online, post or provide feedback, interact with our adverts and campaigns, etc. We also use Google Digital Marketing to propose targeted offers.

We collect your information in order to provide and continually improve our products and services.

  1. 2. Cookies and Pixel Tags - How We Use Them

A cookie is a small file of letters and numbers that allow us to distinguish you from other users of UTMCargo platforms at your first visit - it is sent to your computer that uniquely identifies your browser. This helps us to provide you with an enhanced shopping experience. We use cookies for the following purposes:

  • To identify your preferences and subscriptions e.g., language settings, saved items, items stored in your basket and premium subscriptions.
  • To access your information when you sign in so we can provide you with your personalized content
  • To recognize and count the number of visitors and to see how visitors move around the site when they are using it (this helps us to improve the way our online store works, for example by ensuring that users can find what they are looking for)

Third party’s platforms may also set cookies when you use them, this includes search engines, providers of measurement and analytics services, social media networks and advertising companies.

We may also use “pixel tags,” either provided by us or by our third-party advertisers and ad networks, which are small graphic files, to collect information about your visit, including the pages you viewed, the links you click, the duration you spent on our online pages and other actions taken in connection with our online store and its offerings. This personal information, combined with the information generated with our cookies help us to provide offerings and information of interest to you.

UTMCargo does not offer or share personal information with other people or non-affiliated companies, for other gains, outside our primary business, for product you’ve requested, and when we have your permission. We could only share such personal information to trusted third party partners who work on behalf of, or with us under confidentiality agreements, in such circumstances as follows:

  • Third Party Logistics: We engage third parties to perform certain logistics on our behalf, in order processing, package delivery, data analysis, marketing support, payment processing, content transmission, credit risk assessing and managing, and providing customer service.
  • Business Acquisitions: We may transfer information about you if UTMCargo acquires a business; or is acquired by or merged with another company. In this event, UTMCargo will post a notice on its platforms before personal information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
  • Detecting fraud and abuse: We release account and other personal data to other companies and organizations for fraud protection and credit risk reduction, and to comply with the law.

When we share your personal information with third parties, we:

  • require them to agree to use your data in accordance with the terms of this Privacy and Cookie Notice, our Privacy Policy and in accordance with the law; and
  • only permit them to process your personal data for specified purposes and in accordance with our instructions. We do not allow our third-party service providers to use your personal data for their own purposes.

However, these trusted third-party partners do not have any independent right to share this information. We respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims.

  1. 5. Third Party Adverts

UTMCargo may engage other trusted third-party vendors, under agreements with us to show adverts when you visit and use our online store. These third party vendors may collect and use ’Non-Personally Identifiable Information’ during your visits to our online store, in order to provide advertisements about products likely to be of greater interest to you. These third-party vendors typically use cookies, web beacons and/or pixel tags to retrieve personal information. To learn more about this behavioral advert practice in general and the options that you have to opt-out of this type of adverts, you can visit www.networkadvertising.org.These cookies, web beacons and pixel tags do not have access to any personal information from your computer, such as your e-mail address. Their use of their cookies is subject to their own privacy policies, not ours.

  1. 6. Targeted Adverts and Campaigns by UTMCargo

In order to recommend products offerings that may be of interest to our users, we may display adverts, based on ‘Personally Identifiable Information’ provided by our users, including zip code and profile. We do not provide this ‘Personally Identifiable Information’ to our advert agency when you interact with such an advert. We acknowledge that any information collected by us, or through our adverts agency or advertising networks, will be handled in accordance with the disclosures as provided in clause (6) above.

  1. 7. Against Illegalities, Fraud & Threats

We hold a responsibility to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take actions regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the safety of any person in any way, violations of UTMCargo’s terms of use, or as otherwise required by law.

The sites displayed as search results or linked to our online store are developed by people over whom UTMCargo exercises no control. These other sites may place their own cookies on your computer, collect information or solicit personal information. UTMCargo may present links in a format that enables us to understand whether they have been followed. We use this information to understand and improve the quality of UTMCargo’s search technology.

 

  1. 8. International Transfers

We may transfer your personal data to locations in another country, if this is permissible pursuant to applicable laws in your location. There are inherent risks in such transfers. In the event of international transfers of your personal data, we shall put in place measures necessary to protect your data, and we shall continue to respect your legal rights pursuant to the terms of this Privacy and Cookie Notice and applicable laws in your location.

  1. 9. Confidentiality and Security

Your personal information is stored on our servers located in the United States. We treat your personal information as an asset that must be protected. Hence, we have put in place appropriate security measures, such as encryption, passwords, physical security, etc. to prevent your personal information from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorized way, altered or disclosed. Also, we have put a limit of access to personal information by our employees, agents, contractors and other third parties, who will reasonably need to come into contact with some information to provide products and offerings to you or in order to do their jobs. They will only process your personal data on our instructions and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality

However, third parties may unlawfully intercept or access transmissions or private communications, and other unauthorized users may intercept, abuse or misuse your personal information collected. Therefore, we indemnify our business, its online platform, and its employees, agents contractors and other third parties, against any bridge of privacy on your personal information, through such interception of private communications. This is because email and instant messaging are not recognized as secure communications. We request that you do not send private information to us by email or instant messaging services. We also have procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator of such breach where we are legally required to do so.

It is important that the personal information we hold about you is accurate and current. Please keep us informed if your personal data changes during your relationship with us. Under certain circumstances, you have rights under data protection laws in relation to your personal information, including the right to access, edit your personal information, or delete your account on the UTMCargo platforms, you can also disapprove to or block processing of your personal information, and unsubscribe from our emails and newsletters.

  1. 11. Social Media Plug-ins

UTMCargo have some social media plug-ins embed on its platforms. These plug-ins from social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, Linked-In, Yahoo, Windows and Google plus, among others. However, UTMCargo clearly marks its platform with the icon of the social network embedded on it, which links to the social network platform. When you click on these icons, it will redirect your browser directly to the servers of the relevant social network, and directly transmits the content of the plugin to your browser. If you have an account with these relevant social networks, and logged in, you can relate directly with the relevant instruction given to the social network, such as Facebook “Like” feature, the Twitter “Tweet this” feature and Google plus “1+” button, etc.

If you are not registered with the social network or logged out before you visit UTMCargo website, your IP address will be submitted to and stored by the social network. If you interact with us through a social media platform, you may be permitting us to have on-going access to some limited information from your social network profile such as name, email address, photo, gender, location, the people/sites you follow etc.

However, you may not want the social networks to collect your personal information as described above, or to share it with UTMCargo and other third parties, please review the privacy policy of the relevant social network and/or log out of the relevant social network before you visit UTMCargo platforms, or you may be able delete any existing cookies placed on your computer by the social network via your browser.

  1. 12. Third Parties

This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of businesses that are under not UTMCargo control. UTMCargo does not control the privacy policies of third parties, and you are subject to the privacy policies of those third parties where applicable. We advise that you refer to the third party’s privacy policy for more information about each such third party before you disclose your personal information.

  1. 13. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to amend this Privacy Policy at any time with or without prior notice to you. Except stated otherwise, all amended policies automatically take effect 30 days after they are initially posted on the UTMCargo platforms.

In addition, we will notify you, in case of any significant changes on this privacy policy, when it pertains to the uses of personal information. This will be done via email messaging to the primary email address on file.

If you do not agree to the changes, you may request for a deletion of your user account with UTMCargo. This can be done via email to [email protected]. You must provide us with the email address of the registered account.

California Users

If you are a California resident, in addition to the rights set forth above, you have the right to request information from us regarding the way we share certain categories of your personal information with third parties, for the third parties’ direct marketing purposes. California law provides that you have the right to submit a request to us at the designated address and receive the following information: the categories of information we disclosed to third parties for the third parties direct marketing purposes during the preceding calendar year, the names and addresses of third parties that received such information, and if the nature of a third party’s business cannot be reasonably determined from the third party’s name, examples of the products or services marketed.
